This is the product of a late-night gchat status war in which several of my friends (the nerdy ones) were listing expensive chemicals on their status as gold alternatives. I won, since I’m the only one of us with a chemical named after me. The next day one of my (even nerdier) older friends came up with this graph. The cutline is his.
Here are his comments after he sent the graph to me: “I’m sending you a joke. It’s only a joke. Don’t take it personally. … I didn’t want you to think you actually suck, it just made for a better graph this way.”
